Relay for Life

Robert's cousin, Jay, decided to form a team for Relay for Life this year.  She asked me to make and sell bows to raise money for the team.  I set out to raise $200 initially.  I was thrilled to have raised $250 in pre-orders.  After Ryker's baseball game, we went up to set up the other bows and support the team.
All set up for our customers. :-)

Ryker had fun with random items he was finding in our tent.

The boys made a new friend too.

Ellie was a big help with Riella and kept her in the tent where it was a bit warmer.

Ryker made a megaphone/bow stand combo that he used to advertise the bows for me.  He walked around the track yelling, "Hair Bows, 2 for $5"  It was hilarious and awesome!

He had fun playing with all the other kids too.

Cam wanted a turn with the megaphone.  He wasn't quite getting it, but it was funny!

Someone said they would buy these fine bearded gentleman a bow if they would take a lap around the track wearing it in the beards.  They were 100% game for the idea.

Ryker stole this wig from Robert's aunt and we made him pose with our bearded friends.  It was hilarious!

Nathan came by with Nonno later and got to play with the boys.  Yay for cousins!

It was a long day by the time I headed home with the kids, but I am pleased to say our team not only raised almost $4000 but we won the Little Engine That Could award for best rookie team.  Excited to do it all over again next year.
