Final Ball Game of the Season

Today was the last baseball game for the fall season. Robert headed out and bought fake mustaches for the kids and coaches to wear today.  It was so fun at the end of the spring season we decided to keep the tradition alive.

He looks so studly. ;-)

Cam got in on the fun too.

So did Karlee and I.

Even Riella tried one on for size!

One of Ryker's hits.

Buddies!

Clint (Coach Rush) made photo collages for every player and gave them a title for the season.  He handed them out with their trophies.  Ryker was named Most Intimidating Player.  He's one of the tallest on our team and always has a super serious face when he hits and runs the bases.

Ryker loved having Robert help coach again this season.

Nana and Papaw were there to cheer him on too.

His "award".

Yay for another great season of baseball!

Fire Safety Day

The Sugar Creek Township Fire Department had a huge Safety Day for the community today.  We were excited to check it out and support our local firefighters.

Robert's brother, David, has recently become a volunteer at the department.  The boys loved seeing him in his new role and learning all about fire safety.   He was in charge of the fire safety simulation house.  He talked and walked them through what to do in case of a fire in their house.  Very good, helpful information!  He did such a great job with all the kids too.

The bounce house was Ryker's favorite part.  He was in their the majority of the time and I caught a peek every once in while.

There were TONS of vendors there and freebies.  Cam enjoyed meeting the State Farm bear.

Spraying the water hose!

Dragons Homecoming

Tonight was New Pal's homecoming game. We met the Rush's for dinner and came to the game.  The stands were packed when we got there and we ended up on the visiting side for a while.  The band kids cleared out freeing up a whole section of seating and we were then able to join the home team crowd.

These two had a great time cheering on the Dragons.

Riella's first homecoming

The boys saw another boy from their class (AJ) and he sat with us for a while.  They had some good cheers going that got our whole section involved.  It was too cute!

Family pic!

We left with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and we were already up 46-0! Way to go, Dragons!

Cam's Birthday Surprise

We are trying to move away from giving our kids toys for holidays and birthdays.  They just don't need more toys! So, for Camden's birthday, we gave him a horseback riding lesson.  He LOVES "horhies" and this was perfect for him.  We originally scheduled it on his birthday but he ended up sick that day and we had to cancel.  We were able to reschedule for today.  He was so excited!
Camden was introduced to his horse, Jackson and they got started.  They first went through the steps of caring for the horse.  They combed and brushed him, cleaned out his hooves, etc before saddling him up and putting the reigns on.

We went to Brookwood Farm which is super close to the house and was just perfect.  They were so kind and allowed Ryker to participate in the beginning of the lesson.  He loved it.

Saddled up and ready to go!

He did so well learning how to control the reigns and giving commands to the horse.

This nice gentleman boards this gorgeous stallion there and was talking to us for a while and offered to let Ryker sit on his horse bareback.  Ryker was awesome.  He grabbed a hold of the horse's mane and was ready to ride.  ;-) He said he felt like a real Indian riding bareback like that.  I think lessons may be a Christmas gift for him!

Jackson is such a beautiful horse and was very gentle and calm.  He was perfect for my sweet 3-year-old's birthday surprise.

Girl's Night Out

I headed up to Chuy's in Hamilton Town Center for dinner tonight with a great group of friends.  We celebrated Andrea and Sarah's September birthdays.
It's always fun hanging with these ladies and I'm so thankful for their sweet friendships.

There was a hilarious Elvis shrine in the entry way.  It all started when Nicole (bottom left) looked at the Abraham Lincoln picture and said, "I feel like I know him."  She didn't realize it was Lincoln and we all died laughing.  We ended up taking our pictures next to a celebrity version of Elvis all while laughing hysterically.  Such a fun night with such awesome girls!

Bonfire

James and Tessa invited us over for pizza and a fire tonight.  The kids started out outside on the "playground" playing.  The sandbox was lots of fun.

After pizza, they started playing in the girls' room.  Ryker sent Cam out dressed like Snow White. We all laughed so hard and they both thought it was so great to get everyone laughing, that Ryker joined in and Saige began emceeing the evening and introducing them as they came out.
It was hilarious!  My boys will do ANYTHING for a laugh!!!

Ryker and Saige are less than a year apart and are so cute together.  We dream that maybe one day they'll make quite a pair and we can be in-laws.  ;-)

Springfield Vintage Marketplace

Today is one of my favorite days of the year! It's the Springfield Extravaganza and Vintage Marketplace.  Mom and I love going.  I got Riella up bright and early (5:45) to pick up Nana and drive the 2 hours to Springfield, Ohio.  I love getting the alone time with Mom and being able to really talk.  That doesn't happen very often with the boys around.  They're always stealing her attention! ;-)
It was a chilly start to the day, but between her cozy pjs and this adorable bear hat, Sister Bear was nice and toasty in her stroller.

It warmed up quick and we had a blast!! It is so much fun and we loved every minute of it.

This is a bit of an inside joke with my friend Tessa.  I had to make Mom take this of me so I could send it to Tessa.  She promptly named his Roger the Rooster and is now mad at me for not bringing it home with me.  She's a riot!

Small Group is Back!

Tonight was our first night back with our small group since the spring.  We met up, socialized a bit, and planned for the first semester.  We will be doing a parenting study this year that we are all looking forward to.
The guys enjoyed the fire pit and roasted us some marshmallows for s'mores.

I love these ladies!  So thankful for them and our group!

Curious Camden's Birthday Bash

We celebrated at home with a small family birthday party.  Camden loves Curious George and we did the same theme for Ryker's 2nd birthday and had decorations, etc. left over so we went with that theme again.
Cupcakes from Sam's Club and cake decorations from before did the trick.

Papaw and Ryker

Aunt Karen and Riella

Nonna and his girl

Michelle and Robert

Three Men and Two Babies
A friend of mine did a Curious George party and had some games we were able to borrow.
The pin the banana on George game was a huge hit.  Even the adults got in on the fun.

Time for presents!

Suckers and candy??!!  Woohoo!!

Make a wish!

Happy 3rd Birthday, sweet boy!
