Game Ball Winner

Today was a busy baseball day.  We had to be there at 11:15 for pictures and then had a double header to play.  Ryker had a great first game.  Two great hits and an awesome out on 2nd base.

Ryker won the game ball and got to lead the team in the post game Go Reds chant.  So cute!

He did well during the second game too, but I had to leave early to get ready for Cam's party. 

Family Orchard Trip

Ryker was so bummed that we went to the orchard on Monday without him and I promised we would go with him soon.  Today was a beautiful day and by this afternoon Camden was back to his usual crazy, energetic self and I was ready to get out of the house.

Happy Birthday, Camden!

His last night as a 2-year-old. :-(

We originally planned to spend the day at the zoo but the weather was chillier than I would've liked so we met Aunt Chelle and the boys at Sky Zone in Fishers for Toddler Time.  

Camden was in heaven! He had a great time jumping.

Riella had fun too. :-)

Unfortunately, Cam refused to eat lunch and took a very long nap in the afternoon.  He woke up and quickly started running a fever and then threw up.  We had to cancel his birthday surprise and he was in bed asleep fighting over a 103.6 degree fever by 7:00.  

Not the best way to spend a birthday. :-(

Thankfully, he woke up at 11:30 fever free and saying he felt much better.  Here's hoping he continues to mend tomorrow.

Jay's Soccer Game

Jay picked up a new sport this year...soccer.  She had a game at New Pal today so decided to go and support her.  It was a bit chillier than we anticipated but the boys weren't very interested in holding still to watch anyway, so we kept warm by walking around most of the time.

Morning at School

I spent this morning volunteering in Ryker's classroom.  I did some paperwork for the teacher and then worked with the kids in small groups on a charting activity.  After getting to meet all the kids in his class and work with them, I was officially say he has a truly GREAT group of kids this year.  They were all very well behaved and so, so sweet.  Very thankful for the that!

I stayed and had lunch with Ryker.  It was fun to have one on one time with him and his friends.

We bought school lunch since my plans to have lunch delivered fell through.  They gave them free ice cream that had this weird blueberry syrup in it.  Ryker thought it was great that it turned his tongue blue.

It was such a privilege to be able to volunteer and get a peek into his day firsthand.

Apple Orchard

We like to get as many trips in to the apple orchard this time of year as possible.  Today we met up with my friend Emily, her kiddos, her mom,  Carla, and my friend Anna's son, Cooper.

Charlotte loves babies and was so sweet with Riella.

We had a great time until it was time to leave and Camden threw a big fit because I wouldn't carry him to the car.  We ended up hiding out by the bathrooms while he threw his fit (for 25 full minutes!).  He eventually realized I wasn't giving in and walked out to the van calmly.  That kid is so strong-willed! 

Secret Project

My parents left for Hawaii for their 35th wedding anniversary trip more than a week ago.  I was charged with taking care of the flowers and garden.  Mom mentioned a while back wanting to have her vanity in the guest bathroom painted.  I decided to do it while they were gone and surprise them when they returned.

I made quite a few trips over the past week or so to work on it and keep up with the garden and watering too.  We took the kids over late tonight and put them to bed there.  Robert watched the Colts game and I finished putting everything back together and cleaning everything up.  I'm super happy with how it turned out.  I just hope they like it too!
