Daytona Beach

The kids and I drove north toward Cincinnati Friday evening to meet Robert.  He'd been in Terre Haute for work while we were in Kentucky.  He got the van back from the shop and headed our way.  We met him at Kate's parent's house south of Cincinnati and switched over to the van and started our drive south.
I drove the first leg while Robert got some rest and the kids fell asleep.

Ryker woke up once in the night during a fill up and hopped out to help.  It was cute.

We drove for 12 hours without stopping except for gas and to switch drivers.  The kids slept the entire time basically.  We stopped in Jacksonville for a long break and some breakfast.  Sister Bear loved the chairs at Cracker Barrel that were just her size.

We made such good time that we arrived before our room was ready.  Thankfully I'd thought ahead and packed a bag with all our suits and kept it right on top.  We changed and headed straight for the pool.  The boys were in heaven!

Then it was time to check out the beach.

She loved the sand and thought the waves were great.

Perfect beach baby!

Oh, the joy!

We got our room organized and cleaned up before heading out for dinner.  We went to Aunt Catfish's on the river and enjoyed hanging out on the dock while we waited for our table.

Family pic

AHHH! The fish got him.  :-)

DAY 2-

Sandy Piggies.  Riella harnessed the full capabilities of the sand as a natural exfoliant and applied it liberally to her entire body and mine.  ;-)

The boys had a great time playing frisbee.

After lunch we had fun at the pool.

Riella was so content to sit on the steps and play.

DAY 3

Worn out!

Dinner at Genovese's

DAY 4

Today was cloudy, foggy, windy, and not super warm.  Robert and Ryker went for a long run on the beach and then Cam and I did the same.  He enjoyed chasing the birds most of all.

We spent a lot of time in the hot tub while the kids swam. The cold didn't bother them!  The sun finally came out later in the afternoon and I couldn't resist soaking it up so we stayed out and let Riella snooze on me for a bit poolside.

We went to dinner at Inlet Harbor tonight.  Poor Cam fell asleep on the way there and slept through the entire meal!

With Cam asleep, we actually got to hear Ryker for a change, so that was wonderful!

DAY 5

Another walk on the beach to start our day

We all went together this time.  Robert and I were pretty ambitious in our distance today and the kids wimped out before we even turned back for the hotel.  Robert got in a great workout thought!

Back at the beach for some sandy fun

Ryker had been asking to be buried all week.  We finally did it and he hated it! Getting him to stay put long enough for this picture was a miracle. He is his mother's child!

This is our first time to the Atlantic coast side of Florida.  Robert loved the waves over here.

Sunset walk

Love this man of mine and getting to spend time together as a family

DAY 6

This is what vacation is all about!

We checked out the pier this afternoon.  Got some yummy ice cream and walked around a bit.

Dinner at Our Deck Down Under.  Delicious!

She is such a little poser!

The Wolsiffer's arrived late tonight and the kids were so excited to see each other!

DAY 7

Beach with my fave!

Ice cream on the beach from an ice cream truck...on the beach.  This was one of Ryker's must dos on the trip.

Happy Hour at the hotel before dinner.

One for the wedding slideshow. ;-)

Dinner at River Grille

Daddy's Girl

Cuties!

What a view!

DAY 8
Saying goodbye. sniff...sniff..."'Til next time, Beach!"

Kentucky!

Our Spring Break trip officially began Wednesday morning.  My van was still in the shop for some body work so I loaded all three in the back of the C-RV for the drive down to Uncle Dave and Aunt Kate's in Kentucky.

This calf was born the night before and the boys couldn't wait to meet him.

Ryker got to name him.  He decided on Buck.

Ryker stayed in the barn with Uncle Dave but these guys and I had fun on the swing set.

He loves a good silly face selfie.

Mamy time!

Thursday we took the kids to the park for a bit and then to lunch.  They were so well behaved and we even got compliments from fellow diners on how cute and good they were.  You have to love those moments when they happen!

The boys couldn't wait to get out to the barn and check on Buck as soon as we got back.

He had actually managed to get out of the pen with his mom.  We tried coaxing him back in but he was quite content to sit here.  The boys didn't mind too much.

The boys opted for a movie in bed for rest time and Hudson loved getting to stay up and join them.

After David came home, the boys and I went out for 4 wheeler rides.  It was sprinkling some but that made it even more fun.

It rained all night Thursday and some of Friday morning.  After it stopped we headed back out to play some more.

This kid is so happy and sweet. I just want to squeeze him!

We let them all run and jump and splash in the mud and Aunt Kate brought out her camera for some pictures.

She is obsessed with the cows.

These two are meant for farm life.  ;-)

We came in for baths and some more play time inside before dinner and getting ready to head out for the next leg of our journey.

We always have so much fun down on the farm and love all the time we get with family.  I hope the kids will treasure these memories for years to come.

Zoo Day

The weather is finally starting to warm up here and we couldn't wait to get out and enjoy it.  We met Aunt Chelle and Aunt Cara at the zoo for some fun today.
The polar bear was out and about and Cam loved watching him.

The whole crew

The rest of our group took off but we stayed and played on the playground for a while.

Riella's first solo ride down the slide.  She kept going over and over again.

We saw the orangutans before leaving too.  It was so cool getting to see one of the big guys up close and personal.

Duckpin Bowling

We got together with our small group tonight for a bit of fun and our lesson.  We met in Fountain Square and went duckpin bowling.  It's the first time I've been and it was a lot of fun.
All the girls, minus Andrea

All the guys minus Dave.

Robert and I

Anna and I

We went to dinner afterwards and discussed the latest chapters in our parenting book.  Robert and I also broke the news to the group that we will be starting our own group in the fall.  We're sad to leave this group but looking forward to what God has in store for us next.
