Geocaching

We tried a new activity today.  Geocaching.  Basically it's kind of like treasure hunting.  Someone hides something in a public location and uploads the GPS coordinates and info on the cache to a website and you decode clues and use your GPS to find it.  

We decided to try a local park for our first one.

It's the perfect activity for taking Tuck along.  He loves getting outside with us.

Ryker asked me to take his picture with this tree.  He's funny.

Then Cam decided he needed his picture taken too.

We walked quite a ways along this trail until we neared the location.  It was back in the tree line.  It took a while and a keen eye, but these two found it hidden in the roots of a tree.

The boys found lots of woolly worms too.  They provided entertainment on our walk back to the main area of the park.

We found two more caches while we were there.  It was a lot of fun and something we will definitely be doing again.  

And, it wore them out, so it's a win in my book!

Friday Fun Night

Emily invited us over for a bonfire tonight.  The rain ruined our bonfire plans, but we had chili and hot dogs inside before roasting marshmallows for s'more's over the fire inside.

The girls! Riella and Piper may be a year apart but they are about the same size.  

Piper loves some good cuddle time. :-)

The boys were mainly giant blurs the entire night.  They ran around like crazy and had a blast!

Aunt Jenn Jenn joined us too.  She thought Riella's foot kicked up on the table was hilarious.

Robert was head marshmallow roaster.  Piper loves some Uncle Robert.

Painting Pumpkins

Last year we had our friends the Wolsiffer's over to paint pumpkins.  We had so much fun we decided to do it again this year.  We had some white chili and grilled cheese sandwiches and then got everything ready for the kids to paint.

We stripped Riella and Dallas down and let them paint a bit too.  Riella LOVED it!

I love this girl!  She is so much fun and is genuinely a great friend.

Tuesdays with Grandma

We are officially on Fall Break!  We had a busy day today.  

They so love all being together and play together so well.

We went to clean Aunt Karen's house and then took lunch to Grandma.  My cousin Abby and her sister-in-law, Courtney came as well. They have little girls just a bit younger than Riella.

Grandpa came home in time to spend some time with all the kids.  The boys were so excited to see him.  They love him dearly!

Kate's Visit

Kate was in town for a few days over the weekend and today.  We went to Mom and Dad's for dinner last night.  These two babies are hilarious together!  They kept trying to kiss each other.  So funny!

Kate came over today with the boys to spend the day with us.  Once again these two had a great time playing together.

I so adore this little boy.  He's growing so quickly and I hate that I'm missing so much of it.  He reminds me so much of Camden at that age.  He's a wild man and is always on the move but is so happy and is so charming.

Best Friend Lunch

Emily invited me over for lunch and a little quality time together this afternoon. 

She made a delicious soup and guacamole and grilled cheese sandwich.  Yum!

We sat and had hot tea after lunch and caught up with each other.

I am so incredibly thankful for this sweet girl and our friendship that has stood the test of time.  We've been friends for nearly 20 years now! 

11 Months!

I can't believe we are one month away from her first birthday!  I'm so not ready for it!

She hasn't changed much in size the past month.  Still in 12 and 18 month clothes, size 4 diapers.  She is finally starting to wear some size 3 shoes.  Woohoo!

She's nursing 3 times a day and eating 3 table food meals a day too.

She has mastered shaking her head no at you and throwing a fit to get her way.  The fits aren't often and she's so rotten about it it's hard not to laugh sometimes!

She's pulling up to standing all the time but isn't standing on her own or cruising around furniture yet.  She will definitely be my late bloomer when it comes to walking.

She certainly has her brothers wrapped around her little finger.  They can make her laugh like no one else and are so sweet with her.  She is definitely the spoiled little princess of the family.  She is our sweet little ray of sunshine and we love her so very much!
