Game Day

Ryker had baseball pictures this morning, then a short break, followed by his game.  Robert and Ryker headed over earlier for the pics and then I met them with Cam and Riella later.
Cam enjoyed a hot dog from the concession stand for lunch.

Ryker had a pretty good game today.  He definitely is way more into baseball than he was soccer!

He got a great hit too!

After the game, we headed home and played outside all afternoon and evening.  I love days like this.  We got things done around the house, the boys were busy playing in the dirt and having so much fun.  It was one of those days I just couldn't help but be thankful for this sweet, simple life I live.  Robert cut down all the brush in the back "flower bed" and we had a little bonfire to burn it all down.
This right here is perfection!

Open Gym

We met up with Auntie Em at JPAC for open gym today.  Cam and Kainen were pretty much little blurs the entire time we were there so it was hard to get good pictures.
Camden LOVES this bar.  He would jump on, grab the bar, swing, drop into the foam pit, climb out, and do it all over again.  And again. And again.

These mini workout machines they have crack me up.

I had Riella in the Moby wrap most of the time, but I put her in the swing for a bit too.  She was really just into trying to eat it.

Cam had fun burying Kainen with foam blocks.  These two are getting to be better and better buddies all the time.

Baseball Monday

Today started off so beautiful! It was set to be 76 degrees, so I had to dig out a tote in the closet to get a pair of shorts for Ryker.  Every pair I pulled out from last year was comically short.  Thankfully I bought a couple pairs at the end of the season on clearance.

Absolutely love this outfit from our neighbor.  She passed a few things of Amelia's down to Riella.  These colors look so good on her!

The nice weather motivated me to clean out the boys' closet and do the seasonal clothes switch.  At one point every bedroom was half way done and in a state of chaos.  I managed to get mine, Riella's, and most of the boys' done by the end of the day.  This is the pile of Ryker's clothes he can no longer wear.  I need more totes!

Up next, was Ryker's baseball game.  I love Cam's sense of style.  He clearly has a defined style already.  He loves wearing baseball caps and automatically turns them around.  This is not something he's seen anyone else do because on the rare occasion Robert wears a hat it's always with the bill forward.  It cracks me up.  He's such a cool dude!

Ryker played first base tonight and did great.  He got an out each inning.  I loved watching him go after the ball.  He's starting to understand how the game works and is having fun with it.

Up to bat!  No hits off the pitcher today.  He wasn't very patient today.

Riella was so good and happy while we were there.

Cam loves watching.  He fights the urge to run out there the entire time.  He wants to play so bad!

We finished the night at Mama Nita's for dinner before coming home for baths and bedtime.

Easter!

Their baskets all ready for the morning.

Daddy got Riella all dressed.

The ladies of the house ready for church.

After church we came home and took some pictures outside.  All the kids looked so cute in their outfits.
Cam the ham

He's such a stud!

Then we came in to open gifts.  Ryker said his new sunglasses made him look like a secret agent.

They all look so cute in their new sunnies.

This girl has some of the best expressions.

The kids were able to play a bit and Robert and I changed before going over to my parents for a gathering.

Camden is always pumped to roughhouse with Papaw.

Grandma loves to cuddle with Riella.  I think the feeling is mutual.

Nana and her girl.

For as long as I can remember all 14 of us Kennedy grandkids would gather on the back steps at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Easter with our Easter baskets for a picture.  We've continued the tradition at my mom's.  From Left to Right: Ashlyn, Tyler, Gigi, Camden, Riella, Ryker, Carter, and Garyn.  Such a great group of kiddos!

There are so many great places to hide eggs at Mom and Dad's.

It ended up being a warm and sunny day and just plain gorgeous.  After the egg hunt, we broke the kids up in to two teams.  Jalyn and I each captained a team and we did a scavenger hunt.  We had to find all types of different things.  Examples include: something spiky, something that smells good, something smooth, etc.  Ashlyn, Camden, and I made a good team and finished first.

We wrapped things up at Nana and Papaw's and drove over to Aunt Wilma's house to celebrate with the Brown's.

Jay is always such a huge help with the kids and they just love her.

The boys were pretty into their loot if you can't tell.

Riella spit up on her dress and had to be changed.  I love this little dress too.  It brings the red in her hair out even more.

Uncle Gary was a firefighter for years and Cam found this play firefighter helmet that he just loved.

Nonno with both the littles.

Riella kept grabbing at Ashton and trying to eat his arm.

The whole Brown crew.

It was a busy, tiring day full of faith, family, food, and fun.  Four of my favorite things!

Happy Birthday and Congratulations, David!

After baseball we came home for lunch and the dyed Easter eggs.  We didn't get too elaborate this year and it worked out great.  The boys had fun with it and we got to do some fun experimenting with mixing colors.

In the evening we went to a birthday/graduation party for my brother-in-law.

Aunt Chelle and Riella getting some bonding time in.

Uncle Robert and Ashton doing the same.

Nonna and Riella

The boys had a great time exploring outside.  Ryker had an entire scenario worked out where the grass had turned into water and the rock was his boat.  He also improvised and made scuba gear out of a beaded necklace.  He was busy warning everyone about the high waves that were coming for the house.  He cracks me up and I love his wild imagination.

He even kept his scuba gear handy while he ate dinner.  :-)

These sweet boys and I had quite the baseball game going in the backyard.  It was so much fun and Little Robert was so good with the younger boys.  Such a fun evening!

1st Baseball Game Iwas

Today was Ryker's first baseball game.  He's playing in the instructional league here in New Pal.  Robert is helping coach and they've been practicing for a few weeks now.  He is actually liking it pretty well and it having fun with it so we are thrilled.
Our neighbor, Clint, is the head coach and had each player choose their nickname for the season.  Ryker chose Tiger which is my dad's nickname from when he played ball.

He's such a goof!

We got to choose his number too.  I love their little jerseys.

Saying the Pledge of Allegiance before the game started.

Nana  and Papaw came out to watch.

He got a hit his second time up to bat off the pitcher.  He does well with us at home, but the combination of the pressure of the game and a different pitcher made it harder for him.  I was so excited for him though!  He got tagged out before he got to first, but he was still happy which I loved.
Such a big boy!  He helped push the stroller all the way back to the van after the game. He's a great helper.
