34 Week Ultrasound

Last Monday, the doctor's office called and said the doctor had reviewed my 32 week ultrasound and she wanted me to come back in for another one.  They asked that I make my regularly scheduled 34 week check up into an ultrasound and come back Friday when the doctor would be in the office so we could go over everything.  I will admit that it freaked me out a bit at first.  I stewed over it that afternoon and evening and decided to call back and talk to the nurse the next day.  The nurse assured me that since the baby was measuring so far ahead they just wanted to check on her size and see how things were progressing.  She said that the doc just likes to keep an extra close eye on bigger babies and she'd probably want to talk to me about an induction and/or c-section.  I was relieved there was nothing alarming on the ultrasound and relaxed quite a bit!

Showing off those guns!

Her feet just seem huge! (It may explain why I feel as if I have internal injuries after one of her kicking sessions too!)

She did not take her hand away from her face the entire time.

Her Stats:
Fetal Weight: 5 lbs. 12 oz.
Abdominal Circumference: 35 weeks 6 days 90-93rd percentile
Femur Length: 35 weeks 4 days 83rd percentile
Head: 30th percentile

Overall, she is very consistent and has gained right at a pound in the last two weeks which is what she should.  She is definitely a big girl, but honestly, I'm not too concerned.  Camden was 8 lbs. 11 oz. at birth and she's tracking to be about the same size.  I was relieved to hear her head is measuring small just like the boys.  I figure as long as her head is small, a vaginal delivery should be no problem.  I'm eager to hear what Dr. Rasmussen thinks when I see her Friday but I feel good knowing she's growing at the same rate and all seems healthy.

Apple Orchard

Camden took a long nap after our fun morning at the zoo and we decided to pick up Ryker from school for an afternoon of fun.  We stopped by the library first to stock up on new books.  After that we headed to Pleasant View Orchard to pick some apples.  The Golden Delicious were plentiful this time and we picked half a peck in no time at all.  They were absolutely wonderful!  We had plenty of time left for time on the playground, etc.  Ryker even ran into one of his classmates while we were there.

Two of the best apples ever!
This kid is a tree climber extraordinaire!
Ryker and Roddick playing on the hay mount and slide.
After some play time we paid for the apples we picked and even got a couple carmel apples- one of my favorites!

The boys seemed to rather enjoy them too.  ;-)

Zoo Day

Cam and I met up with Aunt Chelle and Nathan at the zoo today for some fun.  The weather was great and we had a wonderful time.

Dolphin show with my little boy.

Nonno's previous ticket purchase allowed both the boys to ride the carousel for free.  They loved it!

This was Michelle and Nathan's first time in the bird exhibit.  They fed the birds and had so much fun.

32 Weeks

I had my 32 week appointment today.  Since I've been measuring ahead, they scheduled me for an ultrasound first.  Robert was able to meet me there which was really nice.

I had Robert take this right before we went to bed last night.  I wanted to compare it to my 30 week picture to guess how big I thought I'd be measuring.  I guessed 35cm.

Sweet little girl isn't so little...just as we guessed.  According to the ultrasound, she weighs 4 lbs. 14 oz.  If it's accurate, and I go to 40 weeks that will make her 8 lbs. 14 oz. at birth.

Her little cheeks already look chubby!

She has big pouty lips that I just can't wait to kiss!
We caught her yawning which had to by one of the sweetest moments ever.  It just melted my heart to see her up there.  I'm enjoying this pregnancy but starting to get really anxious to hold her in my arms too!

Stats:
Weight Gain: 16 lbs.
Fetal Weight: 4 lbs. 14 oz.
Fetal Heartrate: 164
Fundal Height: 34 cm

I'm still measuring 2 weeks ahead.  Since everything checked out great on the ultrasound they are not concerned.  They will not induce me before 39 weeks unless I have some other complication like increased swelling (like I had with Ryker) or a change in fluid level.  They scheduled me for another ultrasound at my 36 week appointment to check out the fluid levels and her size once again.  Thankful for a healthy baby and just praying the rest of this pregnancy goes as smoothly.

Camden's 2 Year Well Check

Camden's 2 year well check was this morning.  He shocked me and Dr. Anderson with his stats.

Height: 37 inches (98th percentile)
Weight: 28 lbs 10 oz (56th percentile)

I knew he was much longer and leaner than Ryker was at this age, but I had no idea how much!  He'd actually lost a pound since we were in a few months ago.  Dr. A asked if he was eating plenty. I told her that he eats all day, but he also doesn't stay still for more than a few minutes so he just burns right through it.  He checked out great and was so good during the appointment, even through the shots.  After the first one, he just said, "Oww!"  It was too funny.  He cried a bit after the second one but was over it pretty quickly and was even smiling at the nurse before she left.

Country Living Fair

Every fall, Country Living magazine holds a fair in Columbus, Ohio.  I've been 3 out of the last 4 years and it is one of my favorite weekends of the year.  (The year I missed was only because I had given birth days before)  Mom, Aunt Diane, and I left early Friday morning and were there as they opened at 10 am.  We spent all day browsing, shopping, and soaking in the fun atmosphere.  It's held in a historic village (think Conner Prairie-ish) with old buildings, etc.  All the vendors do a great job of decorating and you can find some really cool stuff.
We didn't get through everything and had booths we wanted to revisit the next day by the time they closed at 5:00. We headed to our hotel nearby.  Unfortunately, shortly after checking in, we checked right back out.  We found the accommodations less than desirable (i.e.- a non-smoking room that wreaked of smoke, stains on the comforter, etc.)  Yuck!  We were able to find a room right across the street that was clean and smelled good.  Woohoo!  Plus, it was cheaper!  Bonus!

Here's mom sporting my pregnancy pillow as the newest fashion.  We joked that we were going to send the picture to Dad and tell him she bought a new scarf at the fair.  hahahaha!

Day 2 got off to an interesting start when my check engine light came on after we finished breakfast.  We found a nearby auto shop to run a diagnostic check.  They said it was a minor wiring issue and it wasn't a cause for concern and didn't even charge us for running the test.  Big relief there!  We didn't get to the fair and started until 11:30 but we still had an amazing day and were able to check out everything we wanted to.  We made it home safely and didn't have any issues at all.

I'm so thankful for weekends like these with my mom and aunt.  It was a great girls trip and we had a great time!

Camden's 2nd Birthday

Robert took the day off today so we could spoil Camden on his special day.  The original plans were to head to the zoo, but it was raining, so we headed for Monkey Joe's instead.  We hadn't been in a while and it shockingly took him a while to warm up to it all.  Once he had adjusted, he was off and running, climbing, and sliding like a pro.
He had a blast doing all the slides with Daddy over and over again.

Once he got going he wasn't interested in stopping for a picture.

He loved this obstacle course.

He was a beast on these!

After some good play time we went to Jason's Deli for lunch.  It was the first time for all of us.  It was delicious and we got free ice cream...what more could you ask for!?!?

Cam and Ryke loving on each other while we prepped Cam's "dessert"

Love these boys!
He loves powdered donuts so we did that instead of cake tonight.  He clearly loves being sang to too.  :-)

Happy Birthday, Camden Nicoli!

Maternity Pictures

While Kate was home for her sprinkle and Cam's party, she wanted to get some pictures of us preggo together.  This is likely her last visit until after both of the babies are here so we had to do it while we still could.
This was Kate's creative and cute idea.

This was my idea...lol  I laugh every time I look at this picture!  We have way too much fun together.

We're pretty cute too.  ;-)

Robert took the pics of us and Kate thought she'd snap a few of us together.  I've never had maternity pictures done so I guess these will count.

That hubby of mine sure is cute.

Boys' Dino Room

We finally put all the finishing touches on the boys' dinosaur-themed room!
This is right when you walk in the door.  The nightstand was a Craigslist purchase.  I found a long dresser, nightstand, mirror, and headboard all for $65.  Originally I wasn't planning on keeping anything but the dresser.  However, Robert pointed out that it fit perfectly on this wall and is great for the boys' socks, underwear, and undershirts.  The dino hooks were 50% off at Hobby Lobby and the nightlight is from Target.

A better view of the room.  The beds are both Pottery Barn, but purchased separately 3 years apart on Craigslist.  Ryker's was a dark red when we bought it and Cam's was cream.  We had a pro paint them both to match and chose a lighter and less deep red this time.  They turned out great!  The quilts and shams are Pottery Barn Kids.  Sheets and dinosaur throw pillows are Target.  The navy roman shades are from Lowe's.

These are homemade dino paintings that Ryker and I did together on already-owned canvases with craft paint I had on hand.

The dresser is made by Ashley Furniture and was a Craigslist find.  The green lamp is from Marshall's.  The yellow one was $1 at a garage sale and I just bought a new shade to go on it.  The stegosaurus piggy bank is from Target.

Cam's piggy bank is from Walmart.  The dino bookends are Target as well.

The C and R letters are from Hobby Lobby. They came gold and I just painted them green to match. The frames are Ikea.

This is Cam's life verse.  My amazingly talented sis-in-law whipped up a printable for both of the boys.  They are probably my favorite part of the room.

I'm so pleased with the way the room came out and the boys love it!

Nursery Progress

Mom came over Thursday night to help us get started on the stencil on the accent wall.  Aunt Karen stopped by to bring the boys a surprise from her trip out west and gave us a few tips and got us started in the right direction.
Mom and Robert settled in to a rhythm pretty quickly and left me to handle the kids.
By 9:30 Thursday night they had complete about half the wall and it looked amazing!

Mom and Dad brought Hudson over Friday night and Robert and Mom got back to work on the stencil while Dad and I entertained the kids.  Papaw was a wild and very vocal patient, but the kids loved it.

Cam and Hud are such great buddies.  They are so fun to watch together.

Robert finished the last part of the wall around 11:00.  I had been running around all day getting ready for tomorrow's parties and was exhausted.  I went to bed and woke up at 1:30 to go to the bathroom and Robert still wasn't in bed.  I assumed he fell asleep on the couch and would be up later.

I woke up early the next morning and he had moved all the furniture back in, hung up the shelves, and vacuumed.  I think he deserves Husband of the Year!

We had time before Kate's sprinkle to get the bedding back on the crib.

And, now for a close up of that wall.  The pictures just don't do it proper justice.  It's sheer amazingness has to be seen in person to fully appreciate.

Celebrating the Colts and Cam (Again)

My dad wasn't able to be at Camden's birthday party yesterday so he decided to cook us all lunch and celebrate again today.  The food was delicious and the boys enjoyed getting some more playtime with Hudson.

We brought the leftover cupcakes from yesterday and his candle so we could sing again.  I lost track of how many times Mom lit the candle!  He is obsessed with the birthday song now.  :-)

Making a wish...again

We all wore our Colts gear and had to get a picture.

Cam's Birthday Party

After the guests from Kate's sprinkle cleared out, it was time to clean everything up and get set up for Camden's birthday party.  Camden chose an Elmo theme (no surprise there) and we had a great time celebrating with family.

Ryker was more than happy to help open Cam's gifts.

My mom picked up this wheelbarrow at Target which he has been playing with every time we go for weeks now.  He saw that and didn't really care about anything else after that.  We managed to get him to open the gift with his new rainboots and he was all about those.

Nonno and Nonna got him a Colts backpack filled with goodies including this new football.

Then it was time for cake. He loved being sung to so much we did it twice (candle and all).  Hey, you're only 2 once, right?!? ;-)

This pic cracked me up.  He was not about to part with his boots to eat.

This is his version of "I'm 2!"  Ryker did the same thing.

Trying to get a group shot of the Brown's.  This is right before Dave and Cara announced that they are pregnant!  That means all three of the girls in the family are pregnant.  Such fun!

Nana was giving Cam rides in the wheelbarrow around the house. It was hilarious!
